Atlanta rapper 21 Savage will pay for the funeral costs of a slain three-year-old murdered in a drive-by shooting Easter Sunday, reports WSBTV News.

The victim, T’Rhigi Diggs, was shot in chest Sunday, April 1 when his mother Roshonda Craig drove by a local Texaco station in Dekalb County, Georgia.

21 Savage grew up with the Craig family, and told Craig she did not have to worry about her son's funeral. He hoped the donation would lift one worry from the family as police search for the child's killer.

Craig told the Atlanta-Journal Constitution she saw people in a Dodge Charger with paintball guns next to her prior to the shooting; just moments before the real gunshots were heard.

Dekalb County Police are investigating how Diggs ended up caught in the shooters' crossfire. Authorities are not sure if the shooter was provoked by the people armed with paintball guns. Very little information is known about those responsible for the slaying; however, a review of video from the shooting recently revealed new details which might answer some of Craig's questions.

According to WFM News 2, police originally believed the gunshots came from the Charger. Now, the authorities state that shots may have come from the gas station.

As the investigation continues, Diggs will be laid to rest Saturday, April 7 at Israel Baptist Church in the Kirkwood neighborhood of Atlanta. The family says anyone who wishes to come come pay their final respects is welcome.
