The highly skilled rapper 21 Savage is currently enjoying the success of the release of his new album with Drake. While engaged in a chat session on Clubhouse, the Atlanta artist recently made an audacious declaration about a few of his fellow rapper friends.
On Saturday, 21 Savage declared he could win a Verzuz hits battle against any 2016 XXL Freshman Class member — including Kodak Black, Lil Yachty, Desiigner, Lil Uzi Vert and others.

“That freshman cover nobody can beat me, nobody,” Savage confidently said.

“Hell yeah,” 21 responded with mad self-assurance.

21 Savage, Denzel Curry, Kodak Black, G Herbo, Lil Yachty, Anderson.Paak, In addition, the 2016 XXL Freshman class also includes Dave East, Lil Dicky, Desiigner, and Lil Uzi Vert.
This is among the most significant, successful, and enduring XXL Freshmen classes.
21 appears to be feeling himself after the recent success of his collaborative project with Drake, Her Loss. The album was released on Friday and has since dominated online conversations about new releases.
Drake’s divisive lyricism and the album’s misleading teasers, including a Vogue cover, Howard Stern interview, SNL performance and a phony NPR Tiny Desk concert, have caused quite a stir in the music industry.
Her loss is predicted to sell between 335,000 and 350,000 copies in its first week of release, as reported by HitsDailyDouble. The album debuted with around 150 million streams in the United States on its first day and is projected to reach 425 million to 450 million streams by the end of the week.
After Kodak Black caught wind of the Clubhouse discussion, he decided to weigh in on the topic through Instagram Live.
Kodak added that Savage is within his rights to be self-assured but that he can’t beat the class and definitely won’t reign supreme against him personally.
“I admire your confidence, though. That’s how you should feel. But ima put myself first over any n*gga and day. Don’t play. That’s cap,” Kodak laughably said. “You know you cap. That sh*t caaaap.”

Twitter has mixed feelings on the matter. Check out some of the responses.
Kodak can pull out hits and so can Uzi. If this was a conversation about bars, Dave East is the freshman class by himself. pic.twitter.com/M3CRj3q4DP
