Blavity’s Creative Society is always on the lookout for chances to highlight creatives on the rise. We’ve taken the time out to curate a list of producers to watch in 2016 — give your ears a treat and peep the list below.

1. Louie Lastic

While listening to GoldLink’s critically acclaimed And After That, We Didn’t Talk I found myself putting the tracks produced by Louie Lastic on repeat. Louie Lastic’s effortless blend of genres and ability to create beats that make you want to do nothing but dance are incomparable. Follow him on Soundcloud, and keep your eyes peeled for those push notifications.
Here’s my personal favorite, Spectrum:

2. Monte Booker

Play some Monte Booker and brace yourselves. His refreshing sound, inspired by R&B and hip-hop, is addictive to say the least. Creating a trance-like, ethereal, overall positive experience, his music is otherworldly. The young producer is from Chicago and part of the music group Zero Fatigue, featuring Ravyn Lenae and Smino. He’s currently collaborating with Soulection.
Vibe out to his White Label Feature on Soulection, and follow him on Soundcloud:

3. Metro Boomin

Atlanta based, 22-year-old mastermind Metro Boomin had a great year in 2015, and we’re more than ready to see what he’ll produce in 2016. Having worked with some heavy hitters such as Drake, Nicki, and Future, we can definitely expect him to provide us with the heat in the coming year.
Check out his recent track with Future and The Weeknd below:

4. Galimatias

Galimatias brought us the soothing sounds of Alina Baraz’s Urban Flora, and for this we are forever indebted. Although its been about two years since the release of Urban Flora, Galimatias and Baraz continue to make amazing music.
Peep their latest single “Unfold” below:

5. Medasin

Medasin and Masego transformed my summer with the release of The Pink Polo EP. Providing an unprecedented sound by blending trap, house and jazz, Medasin gave us beats we never knew we needed.
