Virgil Abloh's friends and family gathered with some of fashion's brightest creatives to celebrate the life of the quintessential designer on Tuesday at his posthumous final show. Louis Vuitton premiered Abloh's final collection, which brought several people to tears as they watched the models walk the runway.

As Blavity previously reported, Abloh died on Sunday after privately having cancer for years. Colleagues of his at the Louis Vuitton and Off-White offices announced his death to the world in a statement.

"Virgil was not only a genius designer, a visionary, he was also a man with a beautiful soul and great wisdom," Bernard Arnault, chief executive officer of LVMH, said in a statement. "The LVMH family joins me in this moment of great sorrow and we are all thinking of his loved ones after the passing of their husband, their father, their brother or their friend."

Louis Vuitton erected a gigantic sculpture of Virgil Abloh for the show, memorializing his larger-than-life designs. Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and Pharrell Williams were present for the show, along with celebrities Rihanna and A$AP Rocky.

According to CNN, many believed the show would be canceled following the news of Abloh's death. Instead, Louis Vuitton chose to honor Abloh's work by showing it to the world.

Rapper Kid Cudi not only walked the runway in Abloh's designs, he also performed the song "Moon" for the crowd.

Various pictures highlighting the touching tribute from the show immediately went viral once they hit social media.

Along with a massive sculpture of Abloh, Louis Vuitton honored the fashion designer with a special light show.
