The most hilarious satirical news show on cable is about to get more colorful.
The New York Times just announced that South African comedian Trevor Noah will succeed Jon Stewart as the new host of The Daily Show.
Trevor, 31, made his television debut less than a year ago as a contributor on The Daily Show offering an African perspective on American issues including race, police brutality and politics. He’s only appeared on the show three times since but he’s obviously left a lasting and hilarious impact on the crew and on the watching audience.
It shall be a sad day when Jon Stewart vacates his seat (whenever that will be) but now we know the show is being left in capable hands.
