A young rapper seemingly thought it befitting to get gold chains surgically implanted into his skull.

Dan Sur shared the look with his fans on TikTok back in April, saying that he wanted "to do something different because I see that everyone dyes their hair," the New York Post reports.

"I hope not everyone copies me now," the rapper dared to say during the video.

The music artist, who has amassed 2 million followers, said he underwent surgery to have the procedure done. The 23-year-old had what appears to be dozens of chains "hooked in my skull, under my skin."

“This is my hair. Golden hair. The first rapper to have gold hair implanted in human history,” he said.

Although most of his TikTok videos are in Spanish, one video shows him cutting off one of the chains. In another video, he appears to place some men's hair clippers on his gold chains.

In a video posted to YouTube, the Mexican rapper can be seen donning the new look he has since considered to be a possible trend.

According to the New York Post, people suggested that Dan Sur took the idea from Lil Uzi Vert, who had a "natural" pink diamond embedded into his forehead. The diamond was forcibly removed by a fan during the Rolling Loud festival in Miami over the summer.

Lil Uzi Vert, however, said he still had the diamond and was "feeling good."

Prior to having the gold chains implanted into his skull, Dan Sur attempted to rock what appeared to be locs in an Instagram photo posted in 2019.

Whether the chains have truly been surgically placed in his skull is still to be determined.
