A wax figure of R&B icon Aaliyah will be featured in the Madame Tussauds Las Vegas museum.

On Monday, the museum announced the “Rock the Boat” singer will be honored with her own wax figure at the famous museum. They will also host a competition where contenders will compete for a chance to attend the unveiling as VIP by posting their best Aaliyah inspired outfits using the hashtag #ShowUsYourAaliyah.

The wax figure will be available for viewing in the museum’s throwback room August 22, as reported by Billboard.

In a minute-long video published on the museum’s YouTube page Haughton shares some powerful words about his sister’s legacy.

“My sister Aaliyah was one in a million to those that saw her perform. Style, class and an air of mystery made her more than a woman. The one she gave her heart to was each and every one of her fans,” Haughton says.

The 90's fashion icon and singer passed away in a plane crash on her way back from a video shoot in the Bahamas in August 2001. The impact of her legacy has never wavered. Now, Aaliyah will be the next star “immortalized in wax” alongside icons like Michael Jackson.
