NFL linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. watched his little boy take his first steps in a very special way. The heartwarming moment happened on Friday after Wilson played in a preseason game for the New England Patriots, Boston.com reports.

As he was spending time with his son on the field after the game, Wilson witnessed his boy’s first steps. Video of the unforgettable moment shows the proud father first encouraging his son to take his first steps, then smiling from ear to ear as the boy completed the task.

“Come here, Deuce,” Wilson said as the adorable child slowly moved his feet and made his way towards his father, who embraced the baby boy with a huge hug as the two came together.

“The highlight of my night. Deuce walked to Dada,” Wilson tweeted.

Social media users shared the same sentiment, saying the video also made their day.

Wilson still remained in disbelief when he posted about his child the next day.

“My son really took his 1st steps in Gillette Stadium,” he wrote. “That’s wild.”

Deuce is getting familiar with Gillette Stadium after recently attending a practice and celebrating his first birthday at the facility.

Wilson’s joyous moment came after he completed a stellar performance in Friday’s preseason game. The linebacker, who is in his first year with the Patriots, recorded five tackles to help his team earn a 20-10 win over the Carolina Panthers.
