The music video features cameos from French Montana, La La Anthony, Ari Lennox, Rico Nasty and what seems to be the cutest of french bulldogs. Megan and Nicki were both seen twinning with red hair while donning green zebra-striped attire.

The twerk-laden video opens with a bit by comedian ThatGirlJayCole who rose to widespread recognition on Instagram. The influencer is seen recollecting on her lukewarm summer and aspiring toward knees like the 24-year-old rapper prior to heading to party where the hot girl is in attendance.

The song, which was released in August, amplified the phrase coined by the rapper, "Hot Girl Summer."

LAPD reportedly shut down the music video shoot at a mansion in Los Angeles after checking for a permit. TMZ reported they didn't have the proper paperwork and forced the crew to leave.

Clearly, the team was able to relocate to a different location and get the shots they needed.

It's been a busy summer for Megan. She recently finished up the Made In America Festival in Philadelphia and is now on tour with Meek Mill and Future.

She released her mixtape Fever in May with features from DaBaby and Juicy J.

TMZ reported on Wednesday that LAPD officers shut down the video shoot for Megan's new hit single "Hot Girl Summer" as her, Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign tried to get shots at a mansion in the Mount Olympus neighborhood of Los Angeles on Friday.

Someone in the neighborhood called the police, the LAPD told TMZ. When officers arrived and checked the production's permits, they realized the rappers did not have the proper paperwork and made everyone leave.

Thankfully, Megan is not easily stopped. They quickly moved production for the video to Chino Hills, which is about 50 miles away. Ty Dolla $ign posted a photo from the shoot on his Instagram page.

They managed to finish everything they needed for the video but have not said when the video will come out.

Since Megan and Nicki released the song, it has skyrocketed up the charts, due in no small part to how the phrase has become an integral part of this year's lexicon.

The single will only continue to break records once the video is released. Fans of Megan were glad that she was finally capitalizing on the phrase, which is now being used endlessly by major corporations to sell women a variety of products.
