All The Queen’s Men creator and star Christian Keyes is usually making headlines for his ongoing feud with Tyler Perry and BET+. But now he has one of Perry’s regular actors on his tail.
According to TMZ, Skyh Alvester Black, who stars on All the Queen’s Men as Addiction Anthony and on Tyler Perry’s Sistas as Jacobi, has given Keyes a cease-and-desist letter, alleging that Keyes defamed him in a Facebook post last month. The post includes Keyes claiming Black was high on set.
He also said that part of his plans to expand the All the Queen’s Men universe on another network includes not inviting Black back to set for any future projects. According to the outlet, Keyes said on Facebook in part, “You don’t get to show up inebriated and brag about it, so yeah… Alvester Black won’t be back. Sky won’t be back. He will be written out for that and other reasons.”
Black claims in the letter that Keyes’s comments are “textbook defamation.” He claims Keyes is trying to make Black an example because Black called out Keyes for bullying actors on set. Allegedly, Keyes yelled at Black on set and claimed he was on drugs in front of 300 members of the cast and crew. Black wants Keyes to remove the social media posts and issue an apology, as well as refrain from making future statements as such.
TMZ does report in the same video, Keyes did admit that he was “abrasive” to a then-unnamed cast member for adlibbing lines.
Keyes has been going at Perry for allegedly refusing to give him proper credit on All the Queen’s Men. He has recently said that since Perry has taken over his series, the writing has become “weird.”
