After many delays due to the pandemic, the highly-anticipated MJ: The Musical opened on Broadway on Tuesday.
In a rare appearance, the children of Michael Jackson appeared together publicly. Paris Jackson, 23, and Prince Jackson, 24, walked the red carpet at the Neil Simon Theatre. Bigi “Blanket” Jackson, 19, was present but did not appear on the red carpet. As he wasn’t on the red carpet, there are limited photos of him at the show.
Inside the Neil Simon Theatre, the Jackson trio was amongst the rest of the family and celebrities as well. Paris was seen with TJ Jackson, the son of her uncle Tito. Celebrity names included, Spike Lee, Rev. Al Sharpton, Tamron Hall, Kenny Ortega, LaChanze, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Princess Sarah Culberson.

Although this appearance seems rare, last fall Bigi shared about the siblings’ bond as they become more comfortable in the public eye. He and Prince appeared together on 'Good Morning Britain.'
“When we were growing up, my father would say, you know, ‘We could have nothing, but you look around in this room, your brother, your sister, and me, that’s all you’ll ever have,'” he said during the interview. “And that always stuck with my siblings and I, and we have such a close relationship.”
Prince shared, “Because I’m the oldest, you know, my father would always tell me I have to make sure that the group is taken care of and that I have to be the leader and lead by example,” he said. “But, after his passing, and us being thrown into the ‘real world,’ my siblings honestly—they picked up the slack that I unfortunately left behind.”
“At this point in our lives, it doesn’t really feel like there’s that hierarchy of ‘I’m the older brother,'” he continued. “It’s more we’re all siblings and we’re kind of all on that same level where my sister has her strengths, and my brother has his strengths where I’m not as strong in certain areas. They complement me in that way.”
