Insecure actress and comedian Amanda Seales has officially joined the daytime talk show, The Real, as a permanent co-host.
Seales had been guest co-hosting for a while and it was rumored that she had been tapped for a slot on the show alongside original co-hosts Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, Tamera Mowry-Housley and Jeannie Mai. This is the first time that there will be a new permanent co-host since the departure of Tamar Braxton in 2016.
The series first began testing in 2013 and began airing in national syndication by 2014. Last year, it was renewed through 2021 for its seventh and eighth seasons.
The Real has been nominated for Emmy Awards and has won an NAACP Image Award.
