Amanda Warren has joined the cast of Damon Lindelof’s adaptation of Tom Perrotta’s novel, The Leftovers.
Warren joins Carrie Coon, Christopher Eccleston, Justin Theroux, and Ann Dowd in the HBO project.

Author Tom Perrotta is a master at exposing the quiet desperation behind America’s suburban sheen. In The Leftovers he explores what would happen if The Rapture actually took place and millions of people just disappeared from the earth. How would normal people respond? Amanda Warren will play a character named Lucy Warburton, the take-no-prisoners mayor of the city in which the story takes place.
Lindelof will co-write and executive produce, with Peter Berg directing the pilot.
