Some of Guarini’s most notable performances on American Idol were “Get Here” by Brenda Russell, “P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)” by Michael Jackson, and “For Once In My Life” by Stevie Wonder.
Although he didn’t win the show’s ultimate prize, he was still able to be happy for Clarkson in the moment saying, “It just was so evident, to me even, that my friend was supposed to win and that it was right.”
He continued, “One of my favorite things about Kelly is that who you hear on the TV is exactly who you see and hear backstage. In any given situation, she has always been so herself.”
Today, both remain good friends.
