"Caroline," the breakout hit from 22-year-old Portland rapper Aminé, is one of the hottest songs out right now. Aminé took to The Tonight Show to perform the song with The Roots for his television debut.
The rapper performed an epic rendition of the song to start with, and then switched up the lyrics toward the end, referencing Donald Trump's election as President of the United States – likening November 11 (11/9) to 9/11.
"9/11, a day that we're never forgetting, 11/9, a day that we're all regretting. You can never make America great again, all you ever did was make this country hate again."
