Anthony Mackie has joined Topher Grace, Chris Evans, Michelle Monaghan, Aubrey Plaza, and Giovanni Ribisi in the romantic dramedy, A Many Splintered Thing, to be directed by Justin Reardon, for McG’s Wonderland Sound & Vision and Voltage Pictures.

Description of the project courtesy of Deadline:

In the vein of Amelie and (500) Days Of Summer, the film tells the story of a young man disillusioned by love who meets a breathtaking young woman at a charity dinner by pretending to be a philanthropist. Turns out that she’s engaged to a guy who doesn’t like her going on dates. Challenged by the chase, and egged on by his eclectic friends, he feigns a platonic relationship in order to keep seeing her as he tries to conquer her heart.

So who's playing what character in this?

It's not all entirely clear, but it looks like Evans will play the male lead, and Michelle Monaghan, the female lead.

Grace will play Evans' best friend.

As for Mackie, Plaza and Ribisi, your guess is as good as mine.

The film's script is a Black List screenplay penned by Chris Shafer & Paul Vicknair last year, as well as a 2011 Nicholl Fellowship Finalist

So it must be good right?

Mackie, whi we last saw in this summer's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, is a busy actor, with as many as 5 guaranteed projects scheduled for release in the next 12 to 24 months. One of those projects will see him paired with Evans again – Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
