Ari Lennox posted on Twitter that she was being arrested after an altercation with Dutch military police on Monday. The R&B singer published tweets detailing that she was at Amsterdam Schipol airport and had vocalized that she was a victim of racial profiling.

Police accused Lennox, 30, of causing public disorder after she blamed a staff member with KLM, a Netherlands-based airline, for racially profiling her. Upon arriving at the airport, the "Shea Butter Baby" singer tweeted "Hi Amsterdam" before things seemingly escalated. Lennox later tweeted, “F**k Amsterdam security. They hate black people.” 

Twenty minutes later, she posted, “I’m being arrested in Amsterdam for reacting to a woman racially profiling me.”

Dutch police, which manages the security at Schiphol airport, said that Lennox was displaying belligerent behavior during her interaction with an airline official and was publicly intoxicated.

"Our unit found a woman full of emotions that wouldn't calm down. That's why she had to be taken into custody," spokesman Robert van Kapel stated.

As of Monday morning, it was not clear if Lennox was still in custody. The police are currently conducting an investigation concerning alleged threats Lennox made during the incident.

The Dreamville artist went on to tweet, "I just want to go home. I'll never leave my house again."

The incident came on the heels of the broadcast of the Soul Train Awards on Sunday, where Lennox performed her latest hit, "Pressure."
