Viola Davis as Amanda Waller in "Suicide Squad"More noteworthy revelations from Viola Davis’ New York Times interview – this time sharing some bits about her involvement in the upcoming "Suicide Squad" movie, and the contract she inked with the WB/DC.

Here’s a key part of the conversation: "This is my first big superhero movie," said Ms Davis. "I signed on for three, so it needed to be a great experience. This was a role that was just there to be fun. It was a chance to work with Will Smith, you know?"

So we can expect to see Viola Davis as Amanda Waller (the character she plays in "Suicide Squad") in at least 3 WB/DC Comics superhero movies (including "Suicide Squad"). It really shouldn’t be much of a surprise because, just as is the case in the Marvel universe, characters often appear each others’ worlds. For the uninitiated, Amanda Waller is the leader of the Squad (in the same way Nick Fury leads S.H.I.E.L.D. in the Marvel universe), who you might remember as the character Angela Bassett played in the "Green Lantern" movie, and by the younger Cynthia Addai-Robinson on the "Arrow" TV series. She has numerous aliases, including Doctor Waller, Mama Waller, Mockingbird, White Queen, and The Wall. She’s appeared in "Smallville" the Superman TV series, played by Pam Grier; She”s appeared in "Justice League Unlimited" (voiced by CCH Pounder), as a recurring character throughout the show, seeking to rid the world of all its "metahumans." She clashed with Batman on many occasions, and eventually formed a truce with him and the League.

And there’s more. Meaning, depending on what future superhero movies WB/DC have planned (including announced new movies on the Justice League, Green Lantern, a future Batman reboot, Wonder Woman, and more), there’s a chance that Viola Davis playing Amanda Waller could appear in at least 2 of them.

Welcome to Superheroville Ms Davis. Enjoy your stay.
