Ever since the new Internet dance phenomenon, the #RunningManChallenge hit timelines, I have been scratching my head trying to understand how this two-step replaced the go-to old school routine my daddy pulls out at every family function. Against the tune of Ghost Town D.J.’s, “My Boo” you can find hundreds of videos of sports teams, cartoon characters, and even animals jigging to the running man remix. Though the credit of this challenge goes to these two teenagers, it wasn’t until The University of Maryland basketball players, Jaylen Brantley and Jared Nickens began posting their own videos that the dance began to take off.

It was then that the Internet found a way to put the #RunningManChallenge into the hashtag dance hall of fame.

1. Since the challenge took off in locker rooms, many teams and athletes have put their own spin on the challenge.

Hoftstra University Men’s Basketball Team

The Harlem Globetrotters

2. It didn’t take long for a few frats to have some fun with the challenge as well.

3. Then the ladies took over and nearly put the game on lock.

4. But, then virtual characters put in their two cents and almost broke the Internet.

5. Even our four-legged friends got into the groove of things.

6. However, it was pops here who really showed everyone how it’s done.
