McKensie Mack (pronouns: they/them) is a trilingual anti-oppression consultant, organizer, researcher, and the Founder of MMG and #BoundaryWork. Originally from the Southside of Chicago, McKensie has two degrees from the University of Chicago in Linguistics. McKensie is also the inaugural Executive Director of one of the largest social justice projects on Wikipedia, Art+Feminism. McKensie recently released global research with Ellen Pao, former interim CEO of Reddit, and machine learning designer and researcher, Caroline Sinders, on the dynamics of harm and repair in tech and the remote workplace. McKensie’s work and expertise has been featured in The New York Times, NPR, CNBC, Fast Company, and TechCrunch. McKensie works with clients all over the world focused on helping people to transform society and systems leveraging data, research, and trauma-informed communications. In 2020, McKensie raised more than $100K in three weeks for Black LGBTQIA+ communities on Chicago's Southside and built a seven-figure enterprise that same year. With a 20+ person team at MMG, their mission is to contribute to the development of a society where people have the tools they need to face harm, seek repair, and intervene in injustice. Their clients are based all over the world in the U.S., the UK, France, South Africa, Nigeria, Germany, Spain, and Peru. McKensie has been invited to present before various organizations such as: MoMA, Siegel + Gale, Mozilla Foundation, Wikimedia Foundation and Howard Brown. McKensie is fluent in English, French and Spanish and has spent time living in Europe and South America. McKensie currently resides in Chicago.
