A barber’s act of kindness warmed the hearts of many on social media. He shaved his head in solidarity with his mother, who had to shave off her hair after being diagnosed with cancer.
Guilherme Magalhães shared a video to his Instagram account last month of him shaving his mother’s head after she began undergoing chemotherapy to treat the life-threatening disease.
She sat in the chair at her son’s shop, Entre Amigos, as she watched him shave off her hair.

The woman appeared to fight back tears as she watched strands of her hair fall to the ground. Magalhães was chatting with his mom as he shaved her head, making small talk as he smiled at her. As he continued with the process, he seemingly started to shave his own head.
When the other barbers learned of the woman’s condition, they also joined in by also having their heads shaved. She wiped away tears as she watched her son and the two men support her.
The heartwarming video made its rounds on Twitter, with around 17.4 million views, 184,000 likes and 25,000 retweets on the social platform. Users shared their thoughts on the clip, praising Magalhães and his coworkers for their selfless act of kindness.
