Solange continually surprises her fans with new creative projects. The "A Seat at the Table" singer premiered a new performance piece film called "Metatronia" at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles on Friday.

"Metatronia" features Solange's newest sculpture, Metatrons Cube, which she designed with Griffin Frazen. On Instagram, the singer wrote that the sculpture has been "a dream" of hers.

"…It's been a dream to build modular sculptures that can tour, interact, and engage with the public," she wrote in part. She added, "… I truly can’t thank you all for this support and space to evolve with these practices."

An artist statement on the Hammer Museum website states the project, created in partnership with Uniqlo, is an exercise that follows one's "intuitive force":

"Metatronia explores the process, and mapping of creation. The piece is an exercise on following the intuitive force that guides us, helping us to create space, and silence the mind to create the work. Continuing my practices and interest in exploring the relationship of movement and architecture as a meditation, Metatronia centers around building frequency and creating charge through visual storytelling."

Solange worked with choreographers Brennan Gerard and Ryan Kelly (Gerard & Kelly) and John Kirby for the music.
