Before Grammys night even got to the main categories, Beyoncé made history.

In nabbing the win for Best Dance/Electronic Album with Renaissance, she is now the most awarded performer in Grammy Award history. This was her fifth win of the night, as she won three that were not televised during the ceremony.

Taking to the stage for the first time during the night, (she was stuck in traffic during her Best R&B Song win) the star was visibly emotional.

“I’m trying not to be too emotional and I’m trying to just receive this night,” she said. “I want to thank God for protecting me. … I’d like to thank my uncle Johnny, who’s not here, but he’s here in spirit.”

She also thanked her parents, her husband Jay-Z and her three children, before adding: “I’d like to thank the queer community for your love and for inventing this genre.”

This award, which was the second trophy she received during the live telecast, is expected to not be the last one that she wins Sunday night.
