Ya’shear Bryant, a Black California resident, is planning to press charges against a Karen who harassed him at a Moreno Valley Walmart while accusing him of stealing her son's phone. According to Complex, Bryant posted video of the incident on Facebook on Monday, saying the woman was racially profiling him after her child’s phone seemingly went missing.

“I know I’m Black with tattoos, so she automatically assumes I have it,” the California man said, adding that the Karen had tracked the phone and determined it was located in the parking lot next to his car.

As the heated exchange continued between the WalMart shoppers, Bryant said he decided to stay in the parking lot until the woman found the phone.

“She runs up to me and says, ‘Excuse me, you have my son’s phone?’ I pull my phone out, and tell her I do not," he said. "The reason I’m not leaving is because I don’t have the phone. That’s why I’m not leaving.”

The mother waited for police to arrive while telling Bryant "they’re going to fix this.”

When the accused man walked back into the store and described the situation to a WalMart employee, the woman followed along.

“I have a family. I’m a married man,” Bryant said while continuing to record in the store. “I’m dealing with this woman’s irateness because her son can’t be responsible for a phone. That’s not my fault. But being racially profiled? That’s gonna be hers.”

A short time later, the woman's son is seen in the video with his phone in his hands.

“Her son found it in the car,” Bryant said. “Now I’m gonna press charges. May I have your name ma'am, please?”

But the mother walked away without giving her name.

“No. You go f**k yourself,” she said while rushing out of the store.

Kaiser Permanente is now involved in the case because the Karen was wearing the health care provider's shirt in the video.

"Thank you for sharing this. This video has been brought to our attention and we are actively investigating it," Kaiser Permanente wrote on Twitter. "The conduct in this video does not in any way reflect the views or beliefs of Kaiser Permanente."

Bryant said he has already been contacted by a discrimination attorney and he plans to file a police report against the mother.

As Blavity previously reported, the name Karen has been generally used to describe white woman who make baseless accusations and throw tantrums in public. One of the high-profile cases involving a Karen took place last year when Amy Cooper called the police on a Black birdwatcher named Christian Cooper and falsely told police that she was being threatened while walking her dog in Central Park.
