For those of us obsessed with Black-ish, Wednesday nights are pretty exciting. A typical Hump Day is much less mundane thanks to new relatable, hilarious episodes. The only way Wednesday nights could get better is when you see some of your favorite entertainers pop up on the show! Even more unexpected are some of the storylines created for these crazy characters. The writers keep them coming back – and we’re not complaining. Here are the guest stars that we wish would come back or we’re always glad to see return to our favorite family show

Zendaya, also known as Resheida, Zoey’s friend

Zendaya made her first appearance on Black-ish at the beginning of the second season as Zoey’s friend Resheida. Dre and Resheida connected over their similar upbringings, and Dre was so glad to have someone appreciate him that he actually cast Resheida to play his daughter in a campaign at work. That was shady, Dre.

King Keraun, also known as Smoke, Junior’s barber

When Dre and the boys’ longtime barber is off his game, Junior gets a cut from Smoke, the barber with all the baby mama drama. We really hope he works things out with his girl LaTonka.

Tyra Banks, also known as Gigi, Dre’s BFF

They’re so close they smell each other’s armpits! Dre and Gigi are the best of friends. Their weird relationship sometimes causes conflict with their significant others, but they’re honest with each other and keep each other grounded.

Michael Strahan, also known as cousin Junebug, Dre’s cousin

Dre always thought Junebug was out to get him with all the tea kettles and headlocks. But Ruby sets the record straight during Halloween. It turns out, Junebug was protecting Dre from getting into trouble. Who knew the big bully had a sweet side?

Nicole Sullivan and Brittany Daniel, also known as Janine and Blair, Bow’s fellow neighborhood moms

Bow gets into a bit of trouble while trying to avoid neighborhood mom Blair and her working mom guilt. But in the process of shaming Blair, she neglects Dre, who happens to be drowning in the neighbor’s pool — needless to say that was not Bow’s greatest day.

Wanda Sykes, also known as Daphne Lido, Dre’s new boss

We don’t know much about the Lido half of Stevens & Lido, the namesakes of Dre’s workplace. That is until Daphne Lido, Mr. Lido’s ex-wife, shows up and starts kicking some butt at the company.

Raven-Symone, also known as Rhonda, Dre’s lesbian sister

Raven-Symone’s character, Rhonda, made a splash on the show when she came out as a lesbian to Dre during season one. Now she and her partner are back and ready to get married — how exciting!

Regina Hall, also known as Vivian or “Black Nanny”

She cares for the Johnson kids, sets guidelines for them and does Bow’s hair — all while having her own family! It’s safe to say that Vivian is one amazing woman.

Amber Rose, also known as Dominique, Charlie’s long-lost love

To quote Charlie, Dominique is “the only woman [he] ever loved.” She’s sexy, sophisticated and willing to settle for Charlie, which is all Charlie wants, to be honest.

Deon Cole, also known as Charlie Telphy, Dre’s fiery and fun co-worker

Where would we be without Charlie? Originally introduced with his son Eustace so Dre could find a black friend for Junior, he’s stolen our hearts and our laughs with his overly friendly demeanor and his brash behavior. He left for a while, but thank goodness he’s back. The show isn’t the same without him.

Though Black-ish is already amazing, it’s even better with all of these amazing guests. We can’t wait to see who shows up next!
