Determined to get to the bottom of the incident and seek justice, she leans on her best friend, Marley Wells, who is a lawyer, and her husband, Tony Wells, who is a former cop turned private investigator, to use their influence to find the truth. But as the truth unfolds, Fela learns that her entire world is rooted in lies and betrayal.
In addition to Perry, additional producers are Tyler Perry Studios’ Angi Bones and Will Areu, as well as Jamall Ellzy.
“[Head of Amazon Studios] Jennifer Salke and the entire team have welcomed me with open arms, and I’m looking forward to continuing telling unique stories and bringing my next projects to the global audiences that they reach,” Perry said in a prior statement about his Amazon deal.
As previously reported, under the agreement, Perry will write, direct and produce four films for release on Prime Video.
Perry has recently released multiple films on Netflix, including A Madea Homecoming and A Jazzman’s Blues. He also had a longtime relationship with Lionsgate.
