Blavity TV’s first Indie Film Week was last week and four stellar short films were highlighted.

The week of short films took place between Mar. 14-18, with four short films debuting. Each film is directed by a Black millennial director and fans were asked to vote on their favorite film in a poll.

The winner, Good Morning Liberties, is from Devoted Media’s Nicole Jocleen. The film focuses on fictional social media influence Lai Liberty as she struggles between saying what she’s paid to say and speaking her truth.

Good Morning Liberties and the other three films–There Is a River, directed by Tula B. Strong, I Tried So Hard for You, directed by Neima Tenay and Tula B. Strong and Foxes, directed by Tristan Taylor–are available to view on the Blavity TV app.
