Blavity in the press
I spoke at the Tech Inclusion Conference earlier in September, alongside a bunch of talented and committed entrepreneurs, executives, and change-makers who are focused on making the tech industry better by adding more color to it.
I chatted with @jozenc on the @EmpirePodcast about race and how black women are developed as characters on TV.
Jonathan chopped it up with @FriendsofEbonie about social justice, media and how Black millennials are leading the charge. You can catch the replay here and the tweets here.
My Favorite Things from September
My BLACK GIRL MAGIC MUG
Perfect for sipping my Pumpkin Spice Latte while my curls are popping and the dulcet tones of Fetty ‘Vandross’ Wap serenade my ear drums.
We Got Hacked. The site went down. Then we won.
The “innanets” aren’t always a friendly place, especially when you’re a growing media company. We got hacked earlier in the month, but our tech team sprung into action, and we were back up in no time. A great team >>> whatever problems you might face.
Blavity For Good.
Since our inception, our goal has been to work with people and organizations that promote the wholeness and wellness of our community, whether it be emotional, fiscal, spiritual, physical or otherwise. I can’t divulge the exact campaign yet, but we are working with a special organization to educate and engage with an issue that affects the Black community. I can’t wait for you guys to see it!
