Unless you’ve been sleeping under a rock, you probably know and have an opinion about the Bomani Jones display of unapologetic wokeness through his “Caucasian” t-shirt that made waves on the Internet. Many who didn’t quite understand the meaning of the shirt and it’s deep-seeded message were up in arms, and cried out that Jones should be fired for taking such a political stance.
Well Jones is keeping his job. And he took to ESPN to give a statement about his reasons for wearing the shirt mocking sports’ teams parody of Native Americans and why ending the caricature of cultural motifs in mascots and sports teams must happen.
And took to some stragglers in his mentions
the notion of me being divisive is so odd. ask anyone who’s listened to my radio shows or attended any of our events. see the “divisions.”
