As DJ Vlad stirred up controversy on a recent episode of his VladTV show, dissing Rihanna for becoming pregnant before getting married, rapper Boosie quickly checked the host.
“I was a little bit disappointed that Rihanna did not get married before having that baby,” the VladTV host told the artist on the show. “When I look at her peers, JAY-Z and Beyonce …”
Boosie, who listened to the comments with a disgusted look on his face, interrupted the host before he could finish the statement.
“Your peers. F**k all that,” the musician said. “It’s what makes you happy. Nobody don’t give a f**k about peers. She’s a billionaire. Why she gotta follow somebody else drip for? She know what she f**king doing. Everybody ain’t gotta be motherf**kers that jump in marriages and still motherf**king sneak and geek.”
Boosie continued with his stern response, saying, “You can’t judge her for not being married.”
“Like bro, people f**king, if a baby’s coming, a baby’s coming,” he added.
Still, DJ Vlad tried to defend his view with a hypothetical scenario.
“If you and Rihanna are dating and she told you she’s pregnant and she’s like, ‘Listen, but I wanna get married before announcing this to the world,’ are you gonna say ‘no?” he said.
Boosie admitted that he wouldn’t say “no.”
“It’s Rihanna,” he said.
The rapper also explained why it’s important to let everybody make their own decisions.
“But that doesn’t have to go like that. They have a mutual understanding. Everybody not for no fake-ass marriages. Everybody’s not for it. If they want to do it, they can do it. But they don’t have to do it when the world says. … That’s where people go wrong at, letting the world make they decision. I don’t let the world make my decision. I let my heart make my decision,” he continued.
Social media users mostly agreed with Boosie.
Boosie’s love for Rihanna has been well-documented.
“That’s still my fantasy and s**t, but you know I like to see her with A$AP Rocky,” the rapper said on VladTV in 2021, according to HotNewHipHop. “I rock with A$AP Rocky, too. But once she in a relationship, I back up. I’m just fantasizing.”
