With most of us trapped inside for more than a month now, people are having a hard time finding ways to pass the time.
A teenager in Woodbridge, Virginia, unfortunately, was having a bit too much fun on Sunday night. During a game of hide-and-seek, 18-year-old Amari Dancy got stuck in a washing machine, forcing her family to call emergency services to help get her out.
HIDE-AND-SEEK GONE WRONG: Prince William County Fire and Rescue came to the aid of a teen who got stuck in the washer during a game of hide-and-seek. https://t.co/r7ZC5zrHYb pic.twitter.com/pCpzMGjek4

In an interview with NBC News, Dancy said she was looking for ways to win the game and thought the washing machine would be a fool-proof place to hide.
“We already had hid underneath the bed, in the closet, and we couldn't go down into the basement. So, I was like ‘Oh, OK, let's just hide in the washer machine,” Dancy said.
One of her family members found her and realized she was stuck, forcing them to call the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue for help around 11 p.m. At least four fire and rescue officers came to the home and removed the top of the washing machine so they could pull Dancy out.
“I was really worried to see if they were going to get me out or not. Once they figured out what to do … I just felt relieved. I just wanted to be out of there,” Dancy added.
The teenager eventually took to Twitter to write about what happened.

"wow y’all really want a story time to make this short i was playing hide and seek with my lil cousins i got in the washer machine easily but no room to move to get out i didn’t pop anything that was the sound of the washer and LMAO yes i did win the game," the teen wrote.
Dancy's aunt, Suni, clowned her niece in multiple videos posted to Instagram.
“So the fire department came in and introduced themselves and then asked her name and what happened. She said, ‘Well, I was playing hide-and-seek,’ and he said, ‘Well, did you win?’” Suni told NBC News.
Here are some of the best Twitter responses.
The teen had dozens of funny responses on Twitter to people curious about what happened.

A couple people rightly noted that her cousins and siblings should have clowned her or even turned on the washing machine.

Some of the funniest reactions were to the image of Amari sitting in the washer, seemingly thinking about how she ended up there.

One user even reminded her that true hide-and-seek pros hide in the dryer, not the washer.
People hide in THE DRYER!! Not the washer……ma’am what were you thinking

But Amari responded by saying the dryer was taken.

In the end, Amari's aunt said what many parents are thinking these days.
"Time to let kids go back to school please!" Suni added in an interview with FOX 5.
