First it was Russell Crowe, then Leonardo DiCaprio, then Christian Bale and even Tom Cruise. They all were offered the role at one time or attached to the project, but dropped out.
But it's now been revealed that Bradley Cooper has been offered the male lead opposite Beyonce for the 'A Star is Born' remake, to be directed by Clint Eastwood.
No guarantee if Cooper will accept the role however. According to one source "there is no deal in place and Cooper has a very busy schedule."
Which makes one wonder why they're having so much trouble finding a leading man… Is the script no good, or do they fear that the role will be overshadowed by Beyonce? Or maybe because no one wants to work with her? Or is it all of the above, or none of the above?
Beats me.
