Brandon Marshall is about that action. Following in the footsteps of Colin Kaepernick, the Denver Broncos wide receiver is putting his money where his mouth is.

Protesting the national anthem was just the beginning.

After taking a knee, Marshall received a fair share of criticism. He even lost two endorsement deals. But the backlash only strengthened his resolve. When one door closes, another one opens. Before you knew it, hip-hop mogul and co-founder of Def Jam Records Russell Simmons stepped in offering the athlete an endorsement deal of his own.

When one door closes.. Another one opens 🙏🏾

Marshall is serious about inspiring change. He recently met with Chief White of the Denver Police Department to discuss concerns within the community.

“I took a lot,” Marshall said of the meeting. “A better understanding of what they go through and the different trials and tests that it (takes) to be a police officer. And he kind of got my side of it, as well, so I think it was a good meeting.”

Wednesday night, Marshall made an important announcement on his Instagram.

“I plan to be involved with several other organizations that benefit the Denver community and others through the services, awareness and funds they provide for these critical social issues. And I will donate 300 dollars for every tackle I make this season to those programs… You can track these contributions on social media through #TackleChange.”

You read that right. $300 per tackle.

According to The Denver Post, Marshall made 101 defensive tackles last year. If he does it again, that’s over $30,000 going to charity.

This Denver Bronco wants justice and peace.

Let the games begin.
