It's a Brit crime thriller titled iLL MANORS, which is apparently stirring up some excitement with buyers at the upcoming Cannes Film Market later this month.
Directed by Brit rapper Ben Drew (his directorial debut) the film set in rundown East London's Forest Gate, and billed as semi-autobiographical, "follows the lives of six disparate characters struggling to survive amid crime and violence."
The film's ensemble cast includes Riz Ahmed, Natalie Press, Nick Sagar, Ed Skrein, Anouska Mond and others.
Bankside Films will screen the relatively low-budget film (100,00 pounds) in a private, invitation only screening at Cannes for select buyers and press ahead of the U.K. theatrical release on June 6 via British distribution company (who also financed the film) Revolver Entertainment.
