Despite what her haters may assume, Brittany Renner is coming forward to clarify that PJ Washington’s child support payments do not fund her and her son’s lifestyle.

Rumors that Washington, a 24-year-old NBA star who plays for the Charlotte Hornets, pays Renner $200K in monthly child support recently began flying around, though the subject has been joked about on Twitter since the pair parted ways last year.

However, Renner says she gets nowhere near that amount and does her best to provide for their young son by “doing the damn thing.”

“A lot of people think I’m getting X amount in child support, and I don’t have to work, and I don’t have to do all this stuff,” Renner recently shared on the Tonight’s Conversation podcast. “I very much provide for my child. I’m here right now, my mom is watching my son and I’m here like, doing the damn thing. I’m doing my best.”

“A lot of people judge that, but it’s like, you can’t rely on your child’s father to provide for you, so you have to make a way, you know? So, it’s like, I’ve never been about money, it’s never been about that, but it’s like, especially me not getting $200,000,” she continued.

Renner said that she “would have all [her] homegirls get pregnant by him” if she were receiving $200K in child support, and she alleged that Washington only pays less than 2% of that egregiously high number.

“For whatever reason, that number circulates, but I provide for my child. I get $2,500 a month,” Renner revealed.

Renner seemingly alluded to the prior controversy surrounding the pair’s relationship; specifically, Renner, who’s six years older than Washington and was widely accused of “trapping” him, spoke on age gaps between partners.

“If I’m 30 years old and I’m talking to your son, that’s 12 years younger than me, what’s the problem?” Renner quipped. “Think about JAY-Z and Beyoncé. Whether you’re talking about me or JAY-Z, what’s the difference?”
