James took to social media on Sunday to share the news with his followers.

“Blessed to receive my first d1 offer from Duquesne #godukes,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories.

LeBron James shared his son’s exciting news on his Instagram Story.

“AYYYEEE!!! LET’S GO MAXIMUS @_JUSTBRYCE,” LeBron wrote, showcasing how proud he is of his son Bryce.

LeBron has a history with Duquesne University and the team’s head coach Keith Dambrot who coached LeBron during his teenage years as a student at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio.

The assistant head coach for the Pittsburgh team is Dru Joyce III, who played with LeBron at St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School. Joyce was recently promoted to the school’s assistant coach, and his old friend LeBron applauded his advancement via Twitter.

“Yessir!! My brother, the floor general, and now the Associate Head Coach!! Let’s go my guy!” LeBron tweeted.

As Bryce enters his sophomore year at Sierra Canyon School, he will play on the JV team this year, while his older brother Bronny James will start his senior year on the varsity team.

Bronny is a four-star prospect for the class of 2023.

The brothers played for the California Basketball Club this summer while competing abroad against London, Paris and Rome teams.

Bryce, a member of the class of 2025, is already being compared to his eldest brother and father.

On Twitter, die-hard basketball fans argued over who would be the “next” James in the NBA based on the brothers’ current playing methods, height, and techniques.

“Bryce James will be better than Bronny James. Bookmark this tweet and come back to it in a few years,” one user tweeted.

“Bryce James looking SCARY already! Will he have a better future than his older brother, Bronny?” another user tweeted.

“I feel like Bryce James will be better than Bronny James, but LeBron sons got the future on lock regardless; they tough,” another user tweeted.

“There’s literally been MINIMUM clips Bryce James but people are saying he’s better than Bronny. Lol, y’all haven’t WATCHED him play. They see a kid growing in height and just jump the gun,” a tweet reads.

Bryce is doing something impressive on the court. Despite just being a sophomore, he’s already getting to the bag with D1 offers.
