The 9th Crossroads Co-production Forum has announced a call for entries for its next event, scheduled to take place during the 54th Thessaloniki International Film Festival in November 2013.
The Forum’s goal is to support producers of feature-length fiction film projects living in the Mediterranean, Central and South-eastern Europe. Producers with a feature film script are given the chance to present/pitch their projects to a network of financiers, co-producers and other industry pros in positions to help push each project forward.
Submissions should be produced or co-produced by a producer from a country in the above areas or contain story elements from the regions. Mediterranean and European
Each year the Crossroads Jury gives an award to the best Crossroads film project: a co-production award with the Two Thirty Five company, providing complete image & sound post-production services. The producer of the winning project is also granted a Producer’s Network accreditation for the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.
A second prize will be awarded by the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (CNC), worth 7000 euros cash (about $9,000).
And also, Sofia Meetings will select a project that will participate in their next session in March 2014 and the MFI (Mediterranean Film Institute) is offering a scholarship to its Script 2 Film Workshop for one of the selected projects. Also, Initiative Film is offering development consultation to a project of its choice.
