Filmmakers in member countries of the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) regions have an opportunity to enter proposals for audio-visual projects under the ACP Cultures + Programme.
Areas of focus are production/creation, training/professionalization, distribution/dissemination and regulation of the sector.
Under the ACP Cultures + Programme's second call for proposals, filmmakers from Africa as well as other world regions such as the Caribbean and Pacific are eligible. The Secretariat of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States launched the call on 18 September. Applications close on 20 December, in a call that also caters for other cultural sectors.
"This Call for Proposals to which 14.8m Euros has been allocated, is addressed to ACP and EU operators carrying out cooperation projects in the field of audio-visual and cultural sectors," said a statement from the ACP Secretariat.
ACP Cultures’ first call for proposals, launched in March 2011, provided support to 20 projects for a total amount of 8.3m Euros, shared between 11 projects in the cinema and audio-visual sectors and nine concerning other cultural industries.
For the current call, application forms and all necessary information are available on the website of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Development and Cooperation Europe Aid: www.acpculturesplus.eu.
