After successfully hosting a screenwriter’s workshop with 25 top notch screenwriters for a week in Lagos to discuss a series of social change issues that have been identified by organizations at the vanguard of addressing Social change, Afrinolly announces the Call to Pitch for the Afrinolly Cinema4Change Films.
Scripts from screenwriters who attended the screenwriter’s workshop have now been compiled. This is an open call to Filmmakers in Nigeria interested in directing any of these stories. To be selected to direct any of the Afrinolly Cinema4Change Short Films, film makers must register to pitch for a story or stories. Application to pitch opens 5th June, 2014 and closes 14th June, 2014 at http://afrinollycinema4change.com/pitch-for-change/
A good pitch will be determined by our outstanding panel of judges using the following criteria.
1) Interpretation
2) Characterization
3) Emotionality
4) Look and Feel – Production, Design, Camera Work
In Partnership with Ford Foundation, Afrinolly Cinema4Change project seeks to use the power of film to build a dramatic structure that helps people to not only see the person or issues that a film can address, but see themselves in that story. Afrinolly believes that by partnering with non–profits, public sector organizations and corporations films can be created that are artistically compelling and socially significant.
