Kia Proctor, former girlfriend to Cam Newton as well as mother to his four children, claims that the former baller hasn’t kept his end of their temporary custody agreement.
The ex-lovers’ court battles began back in 2019 when Newton filed a lawsuit against his ex for paternity. He then asked for child support and custody to be set by the court. After paternity for four of their children was determined, Proctor then countersued for $15,000 a month in child support. Their ongoing case also included coverage for Proctor’s monthly utilities and expenses.
Proctor stated that she pays out $14,268 monthly in support and covers various bills, The Shade Room reports.
Reports show from September 2020 to July 2022, she incurred $5,500 in cable expenses, $6,600 for internet, $4,725 in power charges and another $4,532 for gas. The total owed comes to $21,357. In addition, Proctor also wants Newton to pay her $2,000 to cover her legal bills.
Due to his failure to pay up, Proctor has asked a judge to find Newton in contempt of court. This request could also be fueled by the fact that Newton has failed to produce some financial statements needed for the pair to return to court.
Proctor claims Newton has failed to either provide his current NFL contract or state that he does not have one, and that he has not provided his income from the last NFL contract. Further, she says he has failed to turn over tax returns and business income information.

The funds demanded are for the four children Proctor and Newton share; Camidas, Chosen Sebastian, Cashmere Saint Newton, and Sovereign-Dior Cambella. Proctor’s daughter Shakira is from a previous relationship.
Since the determining of paternity, Newton believed he should have joint custody with visitation. Proctor disagreed with the motion since she has returned to her native Maryland home, and Newton resides in Georgia.
Proctor also previously highlighted the fact that Newton had a $60 million guaranteed contract and countless lucrative endorsement deals.
The couple’s split was made public soon after the birth of their youngest child. The seven-year relationship ended when Proctor accused Newton of infidelity.
It was rumored that Newton impregnated an Instagram model named La Reina Shaw and moved her into his Atlanta apartment. The two confirmed their romance months later when they introduced their son Caesar to the world.
