Cardi B is living her best life, and her former manager is trying to mess with her and get some money.

The “Drip” rapper’s former manager Klenord "Shaft" Raphael claims he played an integral role in her success and she shut him out after she blew up, multiple publications report

According to the suit, Raphael is responsible for Cardi being cast on Love and Hip-Hop: New York for two seasons. He also claims his team of writers is responsible for the chart-topping success of “Bodak Yellow.”

“Since discovering Cardi B in 2015, Shaft has played an integral role in developing her music career and public image," his rep said in a statement. "While he is proud of their successful collaborations as she evolved from Instagram influencer to music megastar, Shaft is disappointed by her actions to freeze him out of her career, which are detailed in the complaint. Shaft is confident that his lawsuit will validate his conduct and substantiate his legal claims."

Raphael also accused Cardi of defamation for allegedly telling her fiancé Offset that Raphael finessed money from her. Cardi B switched from Shaft to Solid Foundation, the team that manages Migos, in March.

He is seeking $10 million in damages.

Cardi’s team hasn’t commented on the lawsuit.

A wise man once said “mo’ money, mo’ problems.” Hopefully, Bardi gets to hold on to her bag.
