Cardi B is now an officiant and she wed a lesbian couple in a surprise ceremony, the New York Post reports.

“You guys are probably wondering why I’m here — I’m gonna get these two beautiful ladies married,” the Grammy Award-winning rapper said in a video shared to Twitter. “[It’s] not only a special day for you guys, it’s a special day for me, and I want to thank you guys for making me a part of your beautiful journey.”

“By the power vested in me by the State of California and my online course, I now pronounce you wife and wife,” Cardi B said during the wedding ceremony for a lesbian couple that aired on National Coming Out Day. The national holiday celebrated on Oct. 11 was recognized by President Joe Biden, as Blavity previously reported.

Cardi B also announced her new endeavor on Twitter, telling her fans, "By the way WORLD I'm licensed to marry people."

Fans got to see the "WAP" rapper wed the couple during her Facebook Messenger series Cardi Tries. Brides Brandi Taylor and Shannon Herbert, who have been together since 2018, got married in a surprise wedding ceremony in July. Taylor, a dance instructor from Los Angeles, surprised her partner, who thought she was heading to their engagement party.

After being asked for her hand in marriage the same day, Herbert was sent off to get ready while her soon-to-be wife picked out their wedding decor.

The "Bodak Yellow" rapper uplifted Taylor while shopping, sharing encouraging words after the bride revealed her mom "does not agree with the lifestyle."

Taylor said while she and her mom have come to a "respectable" understanding, there weren't "any ill feelings about her not being" at the wedding.

“But who knows, maybe one day you can introduce your wife to your mother and let them spend time,” Cardi B said, adding that her mom has come to terms with her sister Hennessy Carolina's same-sex relationship.

In addition to having Cardi B officiate their wedding, the couple also had the opportunity to have actress Raven Symoné, who also co-hosted the ceremony, as their ring bearer. Symoné encouraged Taylor to focus on the support from Herbert's mom.

“It’s National Coming Out Day, which we all know is a layered journey for many people in the LGBTQ+ community,” Symoné said.

“Being a part of a same-sex marriage is important so that people see that there’s differences [from heterosexual unions], obviously, but there are also similarities,” Symoné continued.

Herbert and Taylor's ceremony was filled with love as they both exchanged vows and professed their love for one another. The wedding concluded with the two sharing a kiss and walking down the aisle hand in hand as their loved ones cheered them on.

Overcome with emotions, Cardi B expressed her desire to get remarried to Offset, who she married in her bedroom back in 2017.

“I want to get married again,” she said, before adding, “but it’s not about me.”

“But I want this feeling,” said Cardi. “I want my freakin’ wedding! You hear that [Offset]. Give it to me right now.”
