Cardi B is getting praise on Twitter after speaking out against The Shade Room, the popular entertainment news and gossip forum. Shortly after Cardi called out the media outlet, saying they only post negative content about her, the rapper’s supporters came out in full force to back her up.
cardi b taking down the shade room could potentially do more for the black community than the civil rights act of 1964 https://t.co/KnzDuqqbJZ

And I can’t wait. I’ve been waiting for them to fadeaway like media takeout. Tired of them posting snaggatooth and fashion nova everyday.

According to Newsweek, Cardi’s latest feud with The Shade Room started when the media outlet posted a video of the artist’s 4-year-old daughter, Kulture, on her birthday. The video, which was reposted from Migos rapper Offset, showed Kulture holding a stack of money while riding in a limousine. The now-deleted clip also shows Cardi in the background.
The “WAP” rapper asked TSR to delete the post from all their social media sites, noting previous issues she had with their content.
“Cause my thing is …okay you only post negative content bout me ,cool no biggie. got me blocked from commenting on their page ok cool,” she said in a series of deleted tweets according to HipHopDX. “But please don’t post my child on yall funny ish …I don’t want to be old self but just leave me alone.”
TSR then reposted some of its previous content to prove that they highlight positive news about Cardi. The rapper continued the beef when she posted a series of video messages, saying TSR is ignoring her DMs and they have her muted from commenting on their page.
“That’s why when I comment, nobody can see my comment and I actually have screenshots of it, and that’s why I posted it,” Cardi said. “So now you guys want to gaslight me. And if you guys are not doing shady s**t on purpose, why mute me from commenting? Then you guys post certain things positive about me so y’all can continuously post negative things about me that you don’t do to other artists.”
In response, TSR said they haven’t posted additional content positively highlighting Cardi because they couldn’t get permission to share her videos.
“What y’all don’t understand is we have to get permission from owners to post videos to our page. No permission, no post. We show @iamcardib tons of love but because we couldn’t get permission for some of the positive wireless fest videos she gets to lie and say ‘only negative,'” the outlet wrote.
Both parties have deleted their exchange on social media. TSR also released a statement on Twitter, saying the dispute has been resolved.
“Just spoke to @iamcardib
and we were able to come to a resolution,” TSR tweeted. “We’re putting the issue to rest and moving on. Cardi, we wish you the best and continued success. Glad we found a way to move forward peacefully. What happened earlier was bad, but how it ended is good.”
