The country has been reeling for two days since President Donald Trump led a crowd of his supporters in shouting "send them back" at four congresswomen of color: Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ayanna Pressley (MA) and Rashida Tlaib (MI) and Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN).

Trump has dedicated huge sections of his recent election rallies to attack Omar specifically, amplifying the worst lies about her beliefs and background while riling up his crowd with threats to physically force her out of the country.

There has been an outpouring of support for Omar and the three other congresswomen as Trump has refused to back down from claims that the chants and his rhetoric were racist.

Cardi B decided to join the fray and give Omar a shoutout, sharing a beautiful photo of a smiling Omar on her Instagram page with an apt Beyoncé quote from "Formation,": "You know you that b***h when you cause all this conversation."

Cardi stans loved the photo and shared support for Omar in the comment section. After withering criticism from the media, world leaders and other members of Congress, Trump said he disavowed the "send them back" chants and claimed he tried to make the crowd stop.

Unfortunately, he ended up walking back his initial walk back again on Friday, tweeting more threats at Omar and continuing his campaign of hatred against her for being an immigrant.

Omar responded diplomatically when reporters asked her if she was worried for her safety on Thursday. She told a crowd of reporters in Minnesota: “What I am scared for is the safety [of] people who share my identity."

"When you have a president who clearly thinks someone like me should ‘go back’," she said.

"The message that he’s sending is not for me, it’s for every single person who shares an identity with me, and he’s telling them that this is not their country. What we tell them is that this is [their country] and they are welcome here.”
