The Season 4 premiere of Charmed debuted Friday night and it marked the beginning of new chapter for The CW’s reboot of the classic series.

With the departure of one-third of the Power of Three in Madeline Mantock’s Macy, a new character, Kaela (Lucy Barrett) has been introduced.

In season four, Mel (Melonie Diaz) and Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) “find their lives transformed by the death of their beloved sister, Macy. But when their grief threatens to undo the Power of Three forever, the surprising arrival of a third Charmed One (Barrett) gives them a renewed opportunity to fulfill their destinies. And this couldn’t come at a better time, because a mysterious new enemy is rising in the shadows, instilling fear in every corner of the magical world.”

On the show remaining a mainstay four seasons in, Jeffrey told Shadow and Act in a recent interview, “You never really know with a show. It could totally take off..it could not and then and then take off later in the game. And I think with reboots, it can be a little nerve-wracking, you’re stepping into territory that’s already been charted. But from the get-go, I think we just tried to try to put our own spin on it. And it’s been really lovely seeing people be receptive to it and to two women who look like us. It’s been a real gift.”

“It is nerve racking kind of coming into a reboot that was so beloved,” Diaz added. “And nobody has a crystal ball. And we can’t tell how people are going to be responding or [if they will be] welcoming to new girls. But I’m thrilled and happy that we’ve gone to season four and that, in fact, people are still watching the show and they are responding to our stories. And that to me is really rad…to be a working actress, you know? And especially because I feel like a lot of our fanbase are so young. I feel like it’s great that we get to tell the stories to like a younger generation. It’s a gift and it’s really fun.”

And we also asked the duo about some of the wildest fan theories they’ve seen throughout the seasons…unless there’s a chance that it may happen.

“I don’t think this happens…that Maggie and Harry are going to get together,” said Jeffrey. I’m sorry to the one person on the internet who was really wanting that to happen [laughs].”

Diaz added, “I think they call you guys Haggie or something,” referring to their the couple’s ship name among the fandom.

“Listen, I appreciate it,” Jeffrey continued. “But It’s so funny they really think it’s gonna happen. Sorry to those fans!”

Charmed airs Friday nights on The CW.
