So much anticipation for this flick; a little too much fanfare me thinks, with every single bit of news on it, no matter how inconsequential, shared across the web, sending fanboys and girls into near-orgasmic fits.

But we've avoided the bulk of it… except when it's had anything to do with our man, and one of the stars of the film, Mr Idris Elba (and at this very moment, with just the mention of his name, women reading this are fanning themselves :))

Prometheus, which also stars (in addition to Elba) Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Guy Pearce and other members of what looks like a solid cast, hits theaters in summer 2012.

Synopsis reads:

A team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

So, you know I've got to ask the obvious questions here… do any of these explorers die? And If so, will the so-called "brotha rule" apply?
