Chloe Bailey has signed on to star in the upcoming film Praise This, from Universal Pictures and Will Packer Productions.
The film will be directed by Tina Gordon (Little) and production will start this summer.
Details on 'Praise This':
As Deadline reports, Praise This is a comedy following the world of a youth choir music competition.
The film is being positioned as a franchise like the very popular Pitch Perfect Movies. No details have been released on any characters, including Bailey’s.
Gordon will direct the musical comedy and has penned the latest version of the script
The script has early drafts written by Camilla Blackett (Little, New Girl) and Brandon Broussard, Hudson Obayuwana and Jana Savage.
Gordon’s credits also include. Drumline and What Men Want. The film is produced by Will Packer Productions’ through the company’s first-look deal with Universal.
Bailey most recently starred in Freeform’s grown-ish. She is also been tapped to star in the supernatural thriller The Georgetown Project from Miramax, alongside Russell Crowe and Ryan Simpkins and is also starring with Madelaine Petsch in Jane.
