"Festival Admission Update: As we prepare to spend an incredible weekend in the desert together, we are announcing that there will be no vaccination," the post reads. "testing or masking requirements at Stagecoach 2022, in accordance with local guidelines."

According to their website, Coachella will not require vaccination proof or masking at their festival, as well.
"In accordance with local guidelines, there will be no vaccination, testing, or masking requirements at Coachella 2022," the statement reads.
Coachella notes, however, that they will follow all applicable public health regulations, which can change at any time as determined by federal, state, or local government agencies.
"However, the event shall be presented in accordance with applicable public health conditions as of the date of the event and which may change at any time as determined by federal, state or local government agencies or instrumentalities, artists or the promoter," the statement reads. "such requirements may include, without limitation, changes to capacity, attendance procedures and entry requirements, such as proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID-19 test, and other protective measures such as requiring attendees to wear face coverings."
As the festival promoters relaxed the COVID-related regulations for their shows this year, attendees took to Twitter to express their thoughts. As expected, many people weren't happy about it.
Some plan to ask for refunds for the two-week festival, while others pray for the mandate to be restored.
since y’all wanna change covid mandates can i get a refund 🤨@coachella

One commenter is simply happy to be out of California altogether.
Between the The Superbowl’s lack of masks and now Coachella/Stagecoach dropping all mask/vaxx mandates, I am so fucking thrilled to be out of LA, and eventually as far away from CA as I can possibly get. Goodnight, and good luck ✌️Sheeeeesh

One person did mention the COVID variant, Omicron, and whether COVID-related illnesses have decreased in recent weeks.
What’s the update on Covid? Nobody had a mask on at the SuperBowl, Coachella dropped all mandates, and DC. Are the numbers at all time low?? Serious question. Cause I thought omicron was tryna take us out recently…

Coachella and Stagecoach canceled their 2020 and 2021 festivals due to the pandemic, so it is unclear why the festivals' requirements changed. It is impossible to predict whether this will discourage music fans from attending Coachella or Stagecoach this year or if they will continue to draw hundreds of thousands of attendees as in the past.
Coachella will take place Apr. 15-17 and Apr. 22-24. Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, and Kanye West will headline. Stagecoach will occur from Apr. 29 to May 1 and feature performances by Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Combs.
