Coco Gauff ranked No. 12 on the 2023 edition of SportsPro’s 50 Most Marketable list. She is considered the world’s second most marketable tennis player after Novak Djokovic, who came in at No. 11.

The list includes eight tennis players: Naomi Osaka, Emma Raducan and Rafael Nadal. It is the first time since 2017 that the list doesn’t include tennis players in the top 10, according to Tennis. Instead, soccer players such as Lionel Messi and Alex Morgan and F1 champions Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are featured.

The list was created using data and social media analysis, economic valuations and expert insights in collaboration with NorthStar Solutions Group.

Gauff’s inclusion in the list comes after she won her first US Open title in September. The victory made her the youngest American finalist since Serena Williams in 1999.

“It’s still crazy,” she told NBC after her win. “Even last night, I was telling myself, ‘You’re a Grand Slam champion,’ and it doesn’t feel real at all.”

“I would think in the past it would be more relief than joy, but I think with all the growth and maturity I’ve done, it’s definitely more joy than relief,” she continued.

The 19-year-old has signed brand deals with companies such as New Balance, Rolex, Barilla and Microsoft. She was estimated to be one of the highest-paid female athletes in 2022, with a valuation of over $11 million, according to Forbes.
