On Wednesday, Former San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick has come to the end of his $1 million charity pledge.

After being ostracized by the NFL for protesting police brutality by kneeling during the national anthem, the beleaguered QB has donated a million dollars to 30 different charities including notable organizations like Mothers Against Police Brutality to the I Will Not Die Young Campaign.

ESPN reported that, as part of the pledge, Kaepernick will announce the last 10 charities that will receive 10,000 each. The first charity announced was Silicon Valley De-Bug, a community organization in San Jose and Northern California's South Bay that benefits youth, immigrants and low-wage workers. And each donation will be matched by a different celebrity.

This time Golden State Warriors' star Kevin Durant will take up the challenge.

Most of the money will be used to provide stipends for families to visit loved one in prison, funding bails and other legalities. The money will also be used to bring awareness about immigration laws.

It was also announced that Kevin Durant's teammate and Golden State Warriors point guard, Steph Curry, will also match Kaepernick's $10,000 donation towards a different organization. According to the San Jose Mercury News, Curry has partnered with United Playaz in the past for his own initiatives and it holds a special place in his heart. United Playaz is a violence prevention and youth development organization in San Francisco that has been keeping kids off the streets and into productive activities for the past 20 years.

“I knew about Kaepernick’s Million Dollar Pledge almost a year ago, where he’s putting his money where his mouth is,” Curry told the San Francisco Chronicle. “I think the opportunity KD has and I have to bring that to the Bay Area, that opportunity to kind of rally around for what Kaepernick stands for and his mission to better communities through financial resources, that’s huge. It’s a small gesture that we all can do.”

Kaepernick's activism has sparked a movement that has inspired athletes on all levels and common people to take up the fight against police brutality. His work has been chided by the Right but he continues to help those in need. No matter how hard they try, they can't keep a good man down.
